About Abercrombie

Abercrombie is a men, women and kids’ apparel brand. They create and sell casual apparel worldwide.

Abercrombie Review

I wore Abercrombie a looong time ago (in my teens) when they were outright promoting nude male bodies and had some shady and racist business practices. I ended up ditching the brand because of this.

Fast forward to 2023, Abercrombie reached out to collaborate with me and I wanted to see what they were about nowadays.

Seems like the brand has become more inclusive in both their business practices and sizing. They also now offer dresses, which is what I tend to shop for.

They offered me some credit to buy merchandise. Here is what I got.

I received the following products to review in this post:

  • Ultra High Rise 90s Straight Jean ($89) – In Light with Cross Cross Waistband. The quality of these jeans was impressive! The material has some stretch and it fits high on the waist. The style is super trendy and is a dupe of the AGOLDE Criss Cross Jeans ($198) but for a fraction of the cost!
  • Ultra High Rise 90s Straight Jean ($89) – In Dark Brown. The materials on these jeans were slightly stretchy and fit a little larger than the crisscross waistband style. I love the tan colorway which can be worn any season.

Abercrombie Pros

  • Affordable – Denim jeans will run you between $70-$90 a pair. Tops are around $18-$26. Dresses are $80 to $200. There’s a wide range of pricing for just about everything, but in general it’s an affordable brands that doesn’t compromise on quality.
  • Classic Styles – The styles are timeless! We’ll be wearing our Abercrombie apparel for years.
  • Stretchy denim material. The denim material is fantastic! Thicker denim has less stretch but all their denim is a bit stretchy.
  • Fast Shipping – Typically takes 2-4 days to arrive.
  • Frequent Shopper Rewards Program – You can join Abercrombie’s Rewards Program and earn points towards free apparel!
  • A More Sustainable Brand – Abercrombie has implemented practices to reduce their waste. This includes 30% water reduction to produce their denim and regular supplier audits.

Abercrombie Cons

  • Fast Fashion Brand – Unfortunately many Abercrombie products are made in fast fashion factories. But their supply chain is constantly improving, so there’s that.
