Getting in line at the lululemon 20th Anniversary party in New York.
Happy 20th anniversary lululemon!
I visited the lululemon today and they happened to be celebrating their 20th anniversary! I was sad I was going to miss the Seattle anniversary celebration. The lulu Gods heard me and voila, I ended up at lululemon’s storefront 12 minutes before doors opened. By the time we arrived, there was already a queue or lulu fans outside the door. We ended up being one of the first twenty-five people to enter the event.
To attend, you had to have a free ticket from Eventbrite. I signed up and within seconds I had two tickets to the bash. The venue was decorated with black lights, glow sticks and experiential art. They even had a DJ, photobooth and tons of food and drinks. In the middle of the room was a claw machine where you could win vintage goodies and memorabilia from the 80s.
The event space itself was gorgeous! It was formerly Scribner’s Bookstore. Spiral staircases take you to the second story of the store. There’s also a downstairs where the employee break areas, office and restrooms are located.
I ended up buying the 20 Year Anniversary Manifesto Wunder Under Hi-Rise leggings (photos below) for $118. They’re luxtreme and look and feel amazing. By the time I got to the racks, most of the black was already gone with only sizes 2, 4 and 12 left. They also had a 20 year scuba hoodie, bra, Swiftlys and another Wunder Under Hi-Rise pant with lululemon printed in large text along with the anniversary date for $108.
People in line were anticipating discounts and free merchandise. Unfortunately there were none. I was able to use my Sweat Collective discount towards my purchase to save 25% off.
The party was hosted at their Midtown store and went from 7-11PM.

The storefront windows were decorated in lululemon’s anniversary mantra. The mantras were also printed on the anniversary tote bags.
