Skagit Valley Tulip Festival
I lived in Seattle and visited the tulip farms every year. The Skagit Valley tulip fields are approximately an 1 hour drive north of Seattle in Vernon, Washington.
Tulip season typically runs from March through April, and it becomes my whole personality for two weeks.
If you live near a tulip farm, you’re in luck! Take your camera, grab a friend, and head out to take some gorgeous tulip shots!

What to Wear for Tulip Field Photos
#1 Flowy Dresses
Flowy dreses are great for tulip photos. Any dress that creates movement in the skirt will give you an opportunity for gorgeous photos.

#2 Spring Attire

I call it vacation wear. Whatever you’ll typically wear to vacation and escape from a harsh winter is what you want to wear for tulip field photos.
#3 All Neutrals
For family or group photos, matching neutral colors is a great way to make photos feel cohesive and really allow the tulip background to come through.
Neutrals include white, khaki, tan, and black. We try to keep harsh black to bottoms (ie, pants and skirts).

Match the colors of the tulip fields! We love a creative photo when you match with the tulips! Be prepared to bring outfit changes.
